Abakus is the student association for students connected to the Department of Computer Science (IDI) and the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (IIK) at NTNU.
We work to create a strong social, academic, and professional community for our members through events, social gatherings, career-related activities, and student engagement.
As an exchange student, you may also be eligible to become a member of Abakus.
Who can join?
Exchange students can apply for membership in Abakus as long as they are registered as students at IDI and/or IIK and have a sufficient overlap with the study programs these departments offer.
Membership for exchange students is granted with reservation, and each case is assessed individually.
It is worth noting that since most students are Norwegian, the majority of activities are conducted in Norwegian. However, English-speaking students are very welcome, and participation should not be an issue.
