Q-Free is currently increasing our efforts to bring interns into the company, as this represents a sustainable long-term strategy for recruitment. In addition to offering summer internships, we have students working part-time with us alongside their studies, as well as students writing their bachelor and master thesis with us. This gives great benefits both for Q-Free and for our interns.
Summer internship in our Systems department in Trondheim:
The Systems department works with developing software for our customers or for the other departments in Q-Free. The tasks in the system group are very varied and can range from integrating and calibrating new sensors, creating new applications and large real-time solutions, or using AI to solve challenging tasks.
In the Systems group we work with several different technologies and programming languages like Java, C++, Python, image processing, signal processing, AI, and sensor system integration.
As our summer intern, you are interested in one or more of the following areas:
● AI / ML / Deep Learning
● Python
● Signal processing
● Sensor integration
In addition, you can identify with the following traits:

Practical information:
The internship period will be from June 10th until August 9th, with two weeks’ vacation in week 29 and 30. The workplace is our headquarters in Trondheim.
Q-Free is part of a collaborative project in Trondheim called Workation. Workation offers a unique summer program for students across the 20 participating companies. As a summer intern at Q-Free you will have full and free access to these activities! Last summer, our summer interns were free to join activities such as climbing at Høyt & Lavt, Escape Room, beer tasting at ØX, and more. Workation also offers a great arena to meet summer interns working for other companies and make new friends. Q-Free and Workation will make sure that your summer internship in Trondheim will be one to remember.
