Develop commercial drone transportation technology!

At Aviant, we enable autonomous parcel delivery by drone. After starting in the labs at MIT in 2020, Aviant has signed ten commercial contracts in Scandinavia, flown over 2,500 flights covering more than 35,000 km, built a robust team of 20 people, and managed to take a leading position in the European drone market. Due to solid commercial traction, we are looking to have interns working with us this summer.

We have recently launched Kyte, one of two live European drone delivery services, and we are always looking for talented people to further improve the robustness and capabilities of our UAV and supporting systems. We seek hands-on people with a prototyping mindset ready to create several systems during the summer. In this position, you will join us in making commercial drone delivery a reality. As a software developer at Aviant, your main responsibility will be building the customer-facing app or internal tooling that allows us to operate our drones effectively and safely. We are looking for resourceful students who are comfortable with responsibility.

Our ideal candidate:

• Is a 4th or 5th year student within Computer Science or a related field

• Has demonstrated the ability to work independently on challenging tasks

• Is skilled in software development

• Is interested in a startup environment

• Has a passion for Aviant’s mission
