At Kahoot! we champion a positive culture of collaborative learning and innovation. We are looking for a talented developer intern to join our engineering team. So if you are passionate about technology then this is a great opportunity for you. 

In this internship, you’ll be working side by side with experienced engineers and designers, and here are some tasks you might expect:

● Improve our platform with new game modes, additional question formats or a better editing experience.

● Create or improve internal tools to support other departments at Kahoot!in their responsibilities, e.g. of reviewing kahoots and user-generated content, resolving user problems, user and billing management

● Write and automate tests for our products.

● Locale the Kahoot! product to different languages to reach an even bigger audience.

● Improve our CI/CD pipeline that brings our software from Github into k8s.

​We're looking for someone who has:

● Enrolled in a Bachelor degree or higher in computer science or engineering and is in the 3rd or 4th year

● Good understanding of computer science fundamentals (code and the value of unit tests)

● Creative problem solver skills and is, detail-oriented

● A love for computer games and the experience of making them

● An understanding of reactive programming principles, and how it relates to UI development

● A natural curiosity and love of learning new things

● A good team spirit

● A possibility to work for a minimum of 8 weeks during the summer break

Some of the technologies we use:

● Frontend: TypeScript, React, Redux-Observables, Styled-Components

● Backend: Microservices, Java, Node, Scala, Couchbase, Postgres, Kafka

● Infrastructure: Kubernetes, GCP, AWS

Together with the Kahoot! team you’ll work like a full-time employee and experience our daily life and social events. Kahoot! office is located by the City Hall in Oslo.
