Docker is a tool that can package an application and its dependencies in a virtual container. This can then be run on any Linux server, Mac OS or Windows. This allows you be flexible and portable with regards to where you want your code to run: locally on your machine, on a dedicated server or in any cloud service.

We will begin by serving pizza while we talk a bit about how we use this tool in our daily work and walking you through how you can easily set up docker to use it in one or many environments. Then we will work together on some examples to get you started using Docker.
